The Public Servants for the People or for the Money
From cities to states, nowadays there is a clamor of officials from public to private organizations asking for support so that a certain agency's budget will not be cut or layoffs not affect the hard working public servants.
Although a lot of people wants to help people with needs and disabilities, there are some unfortunately that are there for the money and of course for their own income and survival. It is just a pity sometimes on how politics sets forth on these people that really deserves the support to retain their jobs.
But the fact is some of these people have been there in this environment for years thinking they are untouchables just because there are a lot of people needing help nowadays.
When someone gets sick and disabled, there is the so called temporary help relief and remedy but what about with people living with a long term chronic illness for the rest of their lives. When times like these becomes rough, even such people with chronic disabilities are force to look for additional income to supplement survival and then what happens they are penalize that they are trying to get additional income even though the temporary aids are not even enough to buy food or get shelter.
So the question lies on are these so called public servants really need the support as they really do a good job and really wants to help people in needs. Or are these so called servants who had been in the system for years just there for the money?
I don't know how the new president of change will play along these hypocrisy but all we can do is wait and be watchful. The sad part of capitalism has just began and sometimes one would wonder if all these politicking is the way to survive and hang on for our own survival.
The fact today is the people that are taking the hit of the economic downturn are the poor, the needy, the disabled and the chronically ill disabled individuals. All they are asking is to survive but what we they get in return is a scolding from the so called public servants for the money.
